• Parent/Player Meeting  at 8:30 p.m. Please arrive by 8:15 p.m. so we can begin promptly.
• Tryouts take place 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (There are no cuts so after tryouts you will either be placed on Varsity or JV)
• If you know you only want to play JV and do not want to try out please email Coach Redding to be added to the JV Roster (Kredding@amherstschools.org)

Our team will be competing in Division 2. There will be 2 starters in singles and 3 doubles teams for each match. This is the first year we have had that format. Other players will be competing in exhibition matches and all players will play in at least one starting match. All tennis players will be strengthening their game through fundamentals, ground strokes, serves, volleys and overall match strategy. Everybody on the team is expected to be a team player, and treat opposing players, coaches, teammates and themselves with respect. 

Players should get their racquets gripped and restrung prior to the first practice. Communication will be the key for our success this year and I expect everyone to be on the same page.
